This year, Easter looks A LOT differently for us. We are having our first Easter @ The May’s. Every year in the past we would go to the most wonderful brunch with my mom and stepdad. This year, everything for the foreseeable future is well canceled so we are going to make the most of this at home. I am going to implement some of these following details into our day and days leading up to make them a little extra special. It's also something fun for the kids (and myself to look forward to).
KIDS CRAFTS
We are going to be doing some of the classic crafts and also some other cute easter inspired crafts. I linked some ideas of what we might do/some that I thought were cute. I am excited to do the traditional egg decorating with the kids. I linked a good article on how to blow out the eggs before you do them. I have always just bought the fake wood or plastic to decorate but this year I want to use the eggshell and blow out the yolk.

EASTER OUTFIT IDEAS
Of course I was looking forward to the getting ready side of Easter and getting dressed up. That is my favorite part really. We are going to wear something from the Spring 2020 Collection from SHOPKATIEMAY.
EASTER BRUNCH
I put a lot of thought into what we would serve for our brunch at home. After surveying the family I decided to do a breakfast/lunch menu. I never cook for Easter ,so I am looking forward to it. I am mostly looking forward to baking the day before because the kids love to bake.
TABLE SETTING
I wanted to use materials and things I already have, so I thought a bright and soft white airy look would be easy to implement. I am going to do something like these inspiration photos. I also plan to make cute little bunny bags for the kids table out of brown paper bags and string. I will put a craft or something inside for them to do at dinner.
EASTER BASKET IDEAS
Ever year I use the same baskets for the kids easter baskets. I got them years ago at target. One of my favorite things to plan is a trail for them that leads them to their baskets. I haven't decided what to do this year yet but in years past I did flowers, candy, bunny foot prints, and little chick poms. I also love to do an Easter egg hunt outdoors if the weather is good enough.
